1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Lost in Thought (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Lost in Thought ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
Lost in Thought is a digital journaling application that allows users to:
- Create, edit, and store personal journal entries
- Utilize AI-powered features for writing assistance and insights
- Organize and search through journal content
- Track their moods
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
Age Requirements
- You must be at least 13 years old to use this App
- Users between 13-17 years old must have parental consent
- By using the App, you represent that you meet these age requirements
Account Creation
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others
4. Acceptable Use Policy
Permitted Uses
You may use Lost in Thought for personal journaling and self-reflection purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Share content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Use automated tools to access the App (bots, scrapers, etc.)
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Attempt to abuse AI or LLM writing prompt, responses, or content generation
- Use the App to store or share content that violates our Community Guidelines
5. Content and Intellectual Property
Your Content
- You retain ownership of all journal entries and content you create ("User Content")
- You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content to provide the App's services
- You are solely responsible for the content you create and share
- You represent that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights
Our Content
- The App, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us
- Our trademarks, logos, and brand elements are our property
- You may not use our intellectual property without prior written consent
AI-Generated Content
- AI-powered suggestions and insights are provided for informational purposes only
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
- You should use your own judgment when considering AI suggestions
6. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data.
7. Subscription and Payment Terms
Premium Subscriptions
- Premium features require a paid subscription
- Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice
- Auto-renewal can be managed through your device's app store settings

- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We may suspend or modify the service for maintenance or updates
Health and Wellness Disclaimer
- Lost in Thought is not intended as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice
- AI should be used for journaling purposes only
- Please consult qualified professionals for mental health concerns
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your User Content
- Your violation of any third-party rights
12. Termination
Termination by You
- You may terminate your account at any time through the App settings
- Upon termination, your access to the App will cease
- You may export your data before termination
Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account if you:
- Violate these Terms or our policies
- Engage in fraudulent or harmful activities
- Fail to pay applicable fees
- Request account deletion
Effect of Termination
- Your right to use the App immediately ceases
- We may delete your account and data after a reasonable retention period
- Provisions regarding liability, indemnification, and disputes survive termination

19. Apple App Store Additional Terms
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
- Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
- Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App
- In case of the App's failure to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple for a refund
- Apple is not liable for any claims relating to the App
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
